The U.S. Semiconductor industry was worth a huge $251bn in 2021. This is 48% of the global market in terms of revenue. However, U.S. located fabrication plants account for just 12% of
the world’s semiconductor manufacturing, down from 37% in 1990.
To regain their strong position in the market, the U.S. has signed the CHIPS Act of 2021, which will strengthen manufacturing, design and research.
Many factors have been involved in the semiconductor industry, most recently the US-China trade war and Covid 19 too, of course.
The superb thing about RealRate is that we deliver fair and independent ratings, coupling expert knowledge with cutting edge artificial intelligence. It’s the AI model that computes the all-important Economic Capital Ratio figure.
Looking at our AI in more detail, it’s completely unbiased and uses only audited public data. We are fair, explainable, and above all, avoid any conflicts of interest.
We are trying to revolutionise the ratings industry one step at a time.
